How to add the internal gateway on your NAT VPS

If you have one of the new NAT KVM from HostDoc that comes with Internal networking, you will need to manually add the gateway so that you can access the Internet.

If you already know how to add a gateway in your OS, you can skip ahead and add it yourself, the IP is 10.255.58.222

In Debian or Ubuntu

If you’re using Debian or Ubuntu, you can add the gateway by editing the /etc/network/interfaces file:

echo "gateway 10.255.58.222" >> /etc/network/interfaces

You can apply this by either rebooting, or restarting the networking:

systemctl restart networking
In CentOS

Just run this line to add the gateway to your eth1 config:

echo "GATEWAY=10.255.58.222" >> /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-eth1

Then restart networking:

service network restart
In Windows

Needs to be added.
